Located in the heart of Qualicum Beach, the Village Theatre is a historic, intimate performance venue that has been a cornerstone of the community’s cultural life for generations. Originally built in 1948 as a cinema, it was thoughtfully adapted for live performance in 1974, by the ECHO Players Theatre Society. As a registered heritage building, the theatre blends heritage charm with a warm, engaging audience experience.
With seating for approximately 164 guests, the Village Theatre offers a uniquely close connection between performers and audiences, making it an ideal space for theatre, music, spoken word, workshops, and other creative presentations.
We are expanding our focus to welcome a broader range of artists and companies. Our goal is to open the space to more voices, support our creative community, and introduce new audiences to the venue.
Whether you are an emerging artist, an established company, or a community group, the Village Theatre provides a distinctive, character-rich setting to bring your work to life and to connect with audiences.
